Red 7
|
Red 7 is not a place for everyone, but it is the place if you're in the mood for extremely loud music, punk and/or metal attitudes, cheap well drinks and lots of space. It's been around for ages, and the general scuzziness of Red 7 that turns some people off is the very thing that frequenters love about the venue. They book rock, metal, hardcore and hip-hop shows and avoid sub categorizing the genres any further than that. The whole place evokes a Cold War era feeling, with propaganda pasted to the austere concrete walls, appropriately complimented by lots of red and hammer and sickle imagery and some hard-ass doormen.
There is an outdoor stage and indoor stage. Thus, there's always a back-up option if the show you want to see is sold out.
