Vaquero Cocina

Amidst the traffic of trailers on South Congress, Vaquero Cocina will drag you by smell alone to get in line to order their brisket sandwich. They smoke the brisket on site right behind the trailer, in a little mini-trailer of its own. They also have sausages, roasted stuffed peppers and traditional Southern sides. The roasted corn sprinkled with peppers, cheese and hot sauce is a big seller. Leave room for dessert, too, because their one item, Mary Jane's fried apricot pie with a scoop of Bluebell ice cream, is the perfect ending to your meal.
