The Velveeta Room

When it comes to standup comedy, the best indicator of success is making your fellow comics laugh. And the Velveeta Room is maybe the most important stage for Austin comics to develop their material in front of fellow comics at the weekly open mic. The space is tight with only a handful of tables, so the the atmosphere is incredibly intimate and the comedy is up-close and personal. Depending on the night, you may see veteran touring comedians or local up-and-comers. Either way, you're sure to have a great night of laughs.
Thursday night is the notorious open mic night. $5.00 gets you in to see as many as 33 comics doing 3-10 minutes of their best material.
