Whip In

Whip In is a mom and pop Indian restaurant, convenience store, brewery, wine cellar, and part-time music venue. Operating since 1986, the Topiwala family has been at the helm of this unconventional, totally Austin location. Whip In is deeply rooted in the community, featuring local produce, meats, and artesian specialties from the area. The atmosphere is laid back, fun and strange--somewhere between a 7-11 and a traditional Indian restaurant. The authentic Indian cuisine is tasty and fresh, with a revolving daily menu of choices. But where the true genius of Whip In happens is in their beer selection, including the beer on tap that rivals any bar in the area.
