An Austin yoga studio is giving new meaning to the phrase "practice what you preach." Practice Yoga, which currently offers donation-based yoga classes from an east side row house, announced it's opening a second location in 78704 — with a twist.

Dubbed The Practice Yoga Secret Church, the yoga studio is taking over a former church at 414 W. Johanna St. Though an opening has yet to be announced, Practice said the Secret Church should open sometime in January.

"We are ecstatic to be able to serve the South Austin community in the beautiful Bouldin Creek neighborhood," the company said in the opening announcement.

To begin, the new space will be the base camp for Practice's teacher training and will offer a limited workshop schedule for yogis. They will also offer a free mat and towel rental for anyone who walks, bikes, uses a ride-share, or takes public transportation to get to the studio.

Practice, which opened on East Sixth Street in 2014, quickly garnered a reputation for high-quality, donation-based yoga. In addition to vinyasa and align classes, the company also offers teacher training, mindfulness courses, and specialty workshops.
