Unlike other cities, Austin's love of fitness isn't relegated to New Year's resolutions or crash diets in pursuit of a summertime beach body. Consistently ranked as one of the healthiest places in the U.S., the Capital City is dedicated to staying active, and the area has no shortage of classes, gyms, green space, and trails to help locals reach their goals.
Beginning February 23, Austinites will have a brand-new way to work out when E+E Fitness opens a sprawling new 4,000-square-foot space at 2400 E. Sixth St. Among the anticipated offerings are indoor boot camps (a must if you've ever taken a boot camp in August), cardio kickboxing classes featuring Muay Thai-style boxing and bodyweight moves, as well as personal training.
E+E is also partnering with HEAT Bootcamp to bring its high intensity interval training classes to the new space. The Austin-based HEAT offers a specific style of boot camp, combining strength training and core conditioning with cardiovascular intervals.
"My goal is to create amazing workouts in a space where everyone is welcome to be active and have fun," says Becky Brown, founder of E + E Fitness, in a release. “E + E is open to all — from those just getting started in fitness to the hardcore workout warriors."
Brown launched E+E after selling off her successful technology company and taking time to start a family. In 2017, the fitness entrepreneur decided she wanted to combine her passions into a new project, and thus E+E was born.
In honor of their grand opening, E+E is offering a free week of classes to the public beginning February 24 through March 3. During that time, patrons can come in and test out as many different workout styles as they want.
Once open, E+E will offer six- and 12-month memberships priced at $170 and $160 per month, respectively. Find out more details and additional class package information here.
