For October, Austin Pets Alive! is running a Super Senior Cat Special for cats who are 10 years and older. This week they would love you to meet Angel, a lovely lady still on the lookout for a forever home to spend her golden years, possibly while watching some Matlock.

Name: Angel

Sex: Female

Adult size: Medium

Age: 16 years, 10 months

Sign: Sagittarius

Spayed/neutered: Yes

Adoption donation: $10 during October

Location: In foster

Surprise fact: Angel's foster caretakers created a Golden Girls-themed Facebook page to celebrate this senior feline, showing all of the fun activities she loves to take part in.

What APA! says about Angel:

She is pushing 17 at this point, so naturally she's become more mellow with age, preferring to sit tight with a friend and settle in for a good purr or nap. Angel prefers to be alone than with other cats or dogs, but if they give her some space then she may be fine. Even in her advanced age, she's still a very healthy cat who loves a good chin scratch or parking herself on top of a couch near a window.

As a bonus, if Angel is adopted, her foster dad will donate 10 boxes of Tidy Cat Scoopable cat litter to Austin Pets Alive!'s Cat Program.
