Crowd of people at airport
Have you ever looked at other people in line at the airport and thought, "Yeah, I would have dinner at Chili's with them?" Then check out MeetAtTheAirport.com. Photo by Sean Colahan/Twitter

It’s hard to meet Mr. or Ms. Right. But have you ever thought about looking at the airport? Someone has, apparently, because niche dating site MeetAtTheAirport.com is a thing.

The obvious name sums it up — namely that you can meet someone at the airport and then date and then get married and then have kids, all at the airport. We think Tom Hanks tried this in that one movie about the terminal called ... The Terminal.

Nothing is more romantic than splitting some Southwestern egg rolls and boneless Buffalo chicken salads at an airport Chili’s.

The website says that you can “share a brunch or romantic dinner while waiting for your flight and explore the enticing possibilities that are presented to you.” Right, because nothing is more romantic than splitting some Southwestern egg rolls and boneless Buffalo chicken salads at an airport Chili’s.

But it’s not only about finding your aviating soul mate. MeetAtTheAirport.com is kind enough to note that all airports are not created equal, not-so-subtly pointing out that Orlando’s airport has a hotel in the terminal.

Honestly, that’s not a terrible idea, because some people have the hardest time falling asleep on cross-country flights out of Disney World.

Amazingly, MeetAtTheAirport.com claims to have more than 80,000 members in the U.S., Mexico, Germany and the United Kingdom. Apparently some people have never heard of a James Patterson book.

The service is free to sign up, so if you’ve ever felt like having a couple of $8 Michelob Ultras with someone else who just went through security, you can find them at MeetAtTheAirport.com.
