SXSW releases exclusive music wristbands for Austinites only
SXSW is just around the corner, and coveted wristbands go on sale Tuesday, January 17, at 10:30 am, until they sell out. The deal, which includes access to most of the festival's music showcases, is only available for Austin residents.
Wristbands cost $169 and can be purchased through the SXSW website. In order to buy a wristband, the credit card billing information must contain a ZIP code in the greater Austin area. You can review accepted ZIP codes here.
Purchases are limited to two wristbands per order: one for yourself (name must match credit card) and one for a lucky guest, whose name must be provided at time of purchase.
SXSW Music has added hundreds of artists to this year's lineup. Festivalgoers can expect performances from Lizzo, Apache, Cherry Galzerr, Temples, Minus the Bear, The Drums, Girlpool, Diet Cig, King Cayman, and more, as well as a keynote presentation from Nile Rodgers.
SXSW 2017 takes place March 10-19 around Austin.
