After a stellar debut this fall, Sound on Sound Fest will return to Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, Texas, November 10-12, 2017.

SOS Fest is the brainchild from Graham Williams, head of event company Margin Walker Presents and co-founder of Fun Fun Fun Fest (whose future remains uncertain). More than 12,000 attendees per day enjoyed big-name comedians and music acts like Beach House, Explosions in the Sky, and Phantogram at the inaugural event.

The festival was the first of its kind at Sherwood Forest Faire, a 23-acre Renaissance-themed village about an hour from Austin. The unique destination boasts camping grounds and a range of permanent structures — stages, shops, restaurants, and bars — that added to the SOS Fest experience. Everything from the food to the stages incorporated a fantastical feel.

Early bird tickets for the 2017 festival go on sale this Thursday, December 8. Prices are $130 for a three-day pass. But you'll have to wait until spring 2017 for the first round of programming.
