It’s hard to believe that bathing suit season is upon us — especially in light of the recent cold snaps. But fear not. We are here to help ease the pain of the annual ritual of swimsuit shopping.

We know that moms can’t just wear any bathing suit. Most need “super” suits that not only camouflage trouble spots, but also stay put while picking up little ones, chasing down the older ones and gathering the pool supplies. And of course they must be stylish so you feel confident lounging poolside.

That’s quite a job — and one that’s not easy to fill — but we’ve scoured the stores to find several swimsuits that fit that bill.

Speaking of bills, in order to get a super suit, you have to be willing to spend a little more. Less-expensive suits are made with lower-quality materials that won’t hold in those bumps and bulges, won’t stay in place and, mostly likely, won’t make it through the end of summer.

Sure, it’s fine to buy inexpensive jeans, tops or even a cheap, trendy handbag, but for something that serves as your second skin, you don’t want to skimp. A quality bathing suit can last several seasons, and once you find one that flatters you, don’t let it go.
