Austin-based active lifestyle brand Outdoor Voices is known for redefining the activewear category. Now, the pioneer has partnered with French ready-to-wear brand A.P.C. to introduce the ultimate everyday collection, A.P.C.O.V.
The sophisticated men's and women's capsule collection, which launched late last month, features a variety of tops, bottoms, outerwear, and accessories ideal for the body in motion. “This collection makes total sense," says Outdoor Voices founder Tyler Haney, who credits A.P.C.’s founder Jean Touitou as one of her mentors. "Our brands are completely aligned together.”
The A.P.C.O.V. collection was crafted thoughtfully over the past year-and-a-half to produce technical apparel fit for recreation. The collection’s cool, minimalist aesthetic looks as good as it performs too.
The collection features a muted color palette of grays, navys, and blacks and debuts a neutral camouflage pattern that’s worth the splurge. Trendy mesh and highlighter colors give way to functionality and simplicity. The circle back cut-out bodysuit, camo anorak, and outwear are among Haney's favorite's from the collaboration. Apparel items range from $80-$290 and accessories — hats and totes— are priced at $60.
“We want to make clothes you can actually sweat in,” Haney says. “This collection is for the everyday recreationalist. Our positioning is all about making activity fun. Freeing fitness from performance. That very much rings true in Austin, which for me is the most recreational city. I really wanted to make a product that really rings true with me.”
The A.P.C.O.V. collection can be purchased online at Outdoor Voices or A.P.C. or in store at ByGeorge in Austin, Coverture & The Garbstore in London, and at Outdoor Voices’ Austin and New York locations.
