Texas Conference for Women unveils celebrity speakers for 2017
The Texas Conference for Women has tapped two high-profile headliners for 2017: Sheryl Sandberg and Viola Davis.
Sandberg, Facebook COO and author of Lean In and Option B, and award-winning actress Davis will join a list of 100-plus speakers at the event, which takes place at the Austin Convention Center November 2.
"The Conference has once again set itself apart by bringing together change-makers of the highest caliber who are dedicated to advancing equality in society and in the workplace for both women and men," says Johnita Jones, board president, in a release. "These remarkable leaders are redefining growth and leadership opportunities for our attendees."
More than 7,000 guests are expected to attend what is billed as the largest gathering of women in the state. In addition to keynote addresses, the event includes breakout sessions led by experts in business, philanthropy, health, finance, media, and professional development.
Early bird registration for the event — which sold out in 2016 — is open now. An individual ticket costs $165; prices will increase June 3. Revisit inspirational moments from the 2016 conference here.
