It was only a matter of time before a fresh new car service rolled into Austin. The latest offers luxury, executive-level service for business travelers, the hospitality industry, and savvy locals alike.

A mix between Uber and your own personal chauffeur, iCars launched in San Francisco earlier this year and debuted in Austin this month. The innovative service allows individuals to book immediate and future rides, while also providing third parties (think hotel concierge or corporate travel administrators) the option to book on behalf of a rider.

As with other ride-share options, you’re able to get a car fast, with an upfront estimate (and no surge pricing). But there are a number of regulations iCars has in place to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and comfort.

The high-end service partners with leading local transportation companies to deliver the most qualified drivers (all background-checked, fingerprinted, and drug-tested) and a fleet of safe, luxury vehicles, putting the rider (and booker) at ease.

"iCars' expansion into Austin signifies the growing demand for safe and reliable options in the luxury transportation market, especially in the hospitality space," said Gary Bauer, iCars founder and CEO, in a release. "iCars gives hotel operators peace of mind that their guests are being safely transported, allowing them to fulfill their duty of care obligations in a simple and seamless way."

The service also comes in handy for businesses that need to secure transportation for employees, clients, or executives, as well as locals who simply want to ride in style.

Download the iCars app in Apple’s App Store or Google Play to reserve your next ride.
