This week on the Pop Almanac, both hosts are still in a sort of comedy hangover from Austin's first-ever Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival.
They discuss the in and outs of the lines, the logos, the famous faces and the great jokes of the four-day, eleven-venue event for a while, and then they discover that an awards show happened while they weren't paying attention. And Brendan and Duncan love awards shows. The second annual Comedy Awards were handed out over the weekend as well, but nobody seemed to notice — your hosts ponder why the industry isn't so big on the idea of comedy awards yet, as well as why on earth there's no comedy album award.
