The Domain is continuing its North Austin domination with more exciting developments. Austin Business Journal reports that 1 million square feet of additional retail, office and multi-family space is in the works. The new phase will include a giant home furnishings favorite.
According to ABJ, Restoration Hardware is building a 48,000-square-foot storefront as part of the next phase.
Restoration Hardware specializes in historical design and offers a variety of high-end home furnishings, from indoor decor to outdoor lighting. The company is currently making a push with high-end concept stores, such as those in West Hollywood and Boston. "The RH Gallery stores include art collections, cafe and wine bars — which likely will be in queue at The Domain location," notes ABJ. Representatives are staying mum on the details for now.
The California-based chain already has an an outlet store in San Marcos as well as a storefront in the Arboretum. Restoration Hardware has not announced plans for the Arboretum location, which is a mere four miles from The Domain.
Accompanying Restoration Hardware at The Domain will be two large office buildings, a housing project, and a Residence Inn, says ABJ.
