A Georgetown mansion recently was sold for a record-shattering price in Williamson County — almost $7 million.

The list price for the mansion was $6.99 million. Christopher Watters of Austin-based Watters International Realty says the property sold for “relatively close” to the asking price, but he says he can’t disclose the exact amount. Watters marketed the mansion on behalf of the seller.

According to Multiple Listing Service data cited by Watters, the previous record for a home sale in Williamson County was $3.3 million for the 2017 purchase of a Georgetown home.

The new record-holder, a 10,000-square-foot, four-bedroom mansion built in 2002, sits on a 63-acre estate that backs up to the San Gabriel River. It’s situated on one of the highest points in Williamson County, according to Watters.

“There has never been a home constructed of this magnitude and quality in the history of Williamson County,” Watters tells CultureMap.

Features of the mansion include:

  • Five bathrooms and one half-bathroom.
  • Stone flooring from an Israeli quarry.
  • Italian-themed home theater with kitchenette.
  • Cabana with full kitchen, bathroom, and living space.
  • Garage with four 10-foot bays and commercial-grade generator atop 1,500-gallon diesel tank.
  • Aircraft storage and maintenance shop.
  • Twelve-person hot tub and six-person hot tub.
  • Spanish blue-glass tile pool.
  • Two ponds.

Williamson County property records show the buyers are Steven and Alexia Elliott of Georgetown.

Steve Elliott is the founder and former CEO of Georgetown-based software provider AgileCraft LLC. Software giant Atlassian Corp. said in March that it had agreed to purchase AgileCraft for $166 million. AgileCraft was founded in 2013. Elliott is now head of the rebranded business, Jira Align.

According to the Austin Business Journal, Troy and Mary Rodriguez spent $10 million to design and construct the mansion, which they put on the market in April 2018. Troy Rodriguez is founder and president of Sierra Microwave Technology LLC, a Georgetown-based supplier for the military and aerospace sectors. Hollywood, Florida-based aerospace and electronics company HEICO Corp. bought a majority stake in Sierra Microwave Technology in 2003.
