Food-centric fun is headed back to the Long Center this week. On Tuesday, June 24, Trailer Food Tuesdays will kick off its summer-long series featuring an eclectic mix of the city's best food trailers.
Producers Eric Silverstein (The Peached Tortilla), Tony Yamanka (Food Trailers Austin) and Tiffany Harelik (TrailerFood Diaries), curate an event that goes beyond the food. In addition to the 12 featured trailers serving up signature dishes, there's also live music and the chance to burn some serious calories. Doug Strahan and The Good Neighbors will take to the stage and Camp Gladiator will hold a free hour-long workout session for those looking to break a sweat.
As always, entry to the event is free: just bring cash for the food (and beer, provided by Real Ale Brewing Company). You're also encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for lounging on the lush Long Center lawn.
The following food trucks will be on hand for the June date:
- Peached Tortilla
- SLAB BBQ
- Regal Ravioli
- Wholly Kabob
- DFG Noodles
- Dock and Roll
- Melizzoz Tacos
- FYI truck
- Fishey Business Seafood
- Whole Foods
Trailer Food Tuesdays returns to the Long Center (with a new lineup of trailers) on the last Tuesday of each month through October 2014. The event starts at 5 pm and ends at 9 pm.
