BluePrintJuice, the New York-based company that signaled the green juice trend, has made its way to Texas. BluePrint fans no longer have go online to get their fruit-and-veggie fix; individual juices are now available at Whole Foods Markets throughout the state.
Founded by Erica Huss and Zoe Sakoutis, BluePrint juices are made with 100 percent USDA certified organic, raw, and hydraulically pressed fruit and vegetable juices. The juices are gluten-free, vegan and kosher.
"We are so pleased to continue the expansion of BluePrintJuice across the country, particularly in Texas," the founders say. "We have found that Texas has always been a loyal clientele base for us, and we are thrilled to now be readily available at local Whole Foods Markets."
In addition to juice cleanses — which are available online — the company produces individual 16-ounce juices starting at $7.99. Those are available in six flavors at Whole Foods:
- Green — kale, apple, ginger, romaine, spinach, cucumber, celery, parsley and lemon
- Red — beet, apple, carrot, lemon and ginger
- Gold — pineapple, apple and mint
- Yellow — lemon, cayenne and agave
- White — cashew, vanilla, cinnamon and agave
- Yellow 2 — lime, ginger, lemon and agave
All of the juices are made with carefully chosen, nutrient-dense produce, and health benefits include boosting metabolism and circulation and reducing inflammation. The shelf life is about 16 days from the expiration on the bottle.
To get a feel for BluePrint's quality, traditional pasteurized juices — which include most of the drinks in your local grocery store — have a shelf life of about 60 days. No wonder celebs like Blake Lively, Jason Wu, Michael Kors and Ashley Greene are fans.
