Sustainable Food Center operates four of the largest Farmers' Markets in the state of Texas, right here in Austin.
With roots dating back 40 years, SFC is all about cultivating a healthy community by strengthening our local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food in Austin.
The SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown is open on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm in Republic Square. At Sunset Valley, the SFC Farmers’ Market also operates on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm at the Toney Burger Center.
On the East Side, the SFC Farmers’ Market East can be found on Tuesdays from 3pm to 7 pm at the corner of Miriam and MLK, in front of the new SFC building. And The Triangle is home to the SFC Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays from 3pm to 7 pm.

In addition to fresh, seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables and pastured meats and dairy products, at SFC Farmers’ Markets you’ll also find handmade, small-batch food products. Think preserves, tamales, kombucha, candies, pastries, breads, Texas olive oil and much more!
Each week at one of these farmers' markets, you can find more than 100 vendors, including local area farmers bringing fresh meats, produce and dairy, as well as artisans selling everything from clothing and soap to jewelry and pet treats.
There are also drop spots for composting and recycling, playgrounds and activities for the kids, live music and Taste the Place, where you can sample delicious food from the market.
Oh, and did we mention that the farmers' markets also accept food assistance benefits SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Aid Program) and WIC (Women with Infants and Children) and double the dollar value of those benefits with the DDIP (Double Dollars Incentive Program)?
