A list of the best steakhouses in America is bound to include plenty of Texas restaurants. And OpenTable's latest helps prove that when it comes to beef, the Lone Star State is boss.
Texas has 15 spots on the list, the majority of which are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dallas proper claims three spots on the list of 100: Al Biernat's, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse and Perry's Steakhouse. Fort Worth has four: Capital Grille, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Rafain Brazilian Steakhouse and Texas de Brazil.
Estilo Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse in Frisco and Four Winds Steakhouse in Wills Point round out the Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants.
Five Houston steakhouses are included: Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland, Pappas Bros., two locations of Perry's Steakhouse and Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse. Austin lands on the list thanks to Perry's Steakhouse downtown.
As with any list, the criteria must be taken into account. To determine the best steakhouses in America — which included several locations of the same chains — OpenTable analyzed more than 5 million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants across the country submitted by the site's verified users.
At Perry's diners can't get enough of the pork chops. "The Friday pork chop for lunch at Perry's is incredible," wrote one user. "We all agree it was the best pork chop in the world," said another.
