Thanksgiving is only a few days away and Austinites are strapped with planning menus, selecting numerous recipes, and piecing together last-minute plans for the annual feast. But for those of you who aren’t up for cooking a bird, baking Grandma’s apple pie, or worrying about the consistency of gravy, local restaurants have come to the rescue.

Every year, a host of Austin restaurants are open on Thanksgiving featuring autumn-inspired menus, and many places around town offer takeout specials. Hyatt Regency’s Southwest Bistro
Southwest Bistro presents breakfast and traditional holiday dishes and desserts. Breakfast dishes include vanilla-battered French toast, hickory-smoked bacon, chicken and apple sausage, and cured meats and cheeses. Herb-roasted turkey, as well poached shrimp, sushi rolls, and pomegranate-glazed cedar plank salmon are available during the feast. Finish it off with chocolate caramel tarts, Texas bourbon pecan pie, pumpkin mousse, and a collection of other sweets.

Kerbey Lane Cafe

The restaurant will sell a turkey breast plate with gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli, stuffing, yams with maple glaze, cranberry sauce, and a dinner roll.
