Tacodeli celebrates 13th anniversary with citywide taco contest

Your taco creation could be the talk of the town! One of Austin's favorite breakfast taco hotspots, Tacodeli, is celebrating its 13th anniversary with a taco recipe contest free and open to the public.

The restaurant is calling for taco recipes through Sunday, December 2. Winners of the contest will have their menu featured on the Tacodeli menu, have their recipes published in the Austin Chronicle, and receive a $100 gift card for Tacodeli.

Time to “Keep Austin Weird” with your taco recipes, y'all (though it might be a challenge to top some of Tacodeli’s signature taco flavors).

“The more outrageous, the better,” says the Tacodeli call for recipes. The restaurant says it hopes to create a taco that nobody’s tried before.

Time to “Keep Austin Weird” with your recipes, y'all (though it might be a challenge to top some of Tacodeli’s signature tacos like the Cowboy Taco with beef tenderloin and grilled corn or The Otto breakfast taco with black beans and bacon).

The best part? You don’t even have to cook the taco to enter the contest. Just send your recipe to Tacodeli’s Facebook page or tweet the recipe to Tacodeli's Twitter account: @tacodeli.

Tacodeli owners Roberto Espinosa and Eric Wilkerson will choose the winning recipe early next week and announce the winner shortly thereafter. ¡Buena suerte!
