A kaleidoscope of music, multimedia and fashion forms at 5th annual Psych Fest

The 5th annual Austin Psych Fest brought mind-expanding music, visual arts and experimental fashion to the forefront of Austin's festival scene.

The three-day festival showcases both well known and up and coming bands playing alongside trippy multimedia.

Prince Rama will be taking their new age act on a Scandinavian tour shortly after their appearance at Psych Fest.

The Black Angels closed out the first day of Psych Fest at Emo's East on Friday night. 

Members of the band helped curate the festival in 2008 as a celebration of Austin's psychedelic rock heritage.

 

 

 

 

The Brian Jonestown Massacre, a California psychedelic band formed in the 90s, closed Psych Fest on Sunday night at Emo's East. 

Before playing, lead singer Anton Newcombe praised Psych Fest's curators for bringing together so many people in the celebration of psychedelic music.
