People dressed up in fun and quirky costumes ran through the streets of downtown Austin Saturday night at the 10th Annual Keep Austin Weird 5k and Festival. Runners endured the heat to enjoy a fun day at the Long Center for the Performing Arts before knocking out a 3.1 mile run.
CultureMap Austin teamed up with Treaty Oak Distillery, Dub Academy, and Catz Sports Performance to host one of 11 fun stops along the route.
The race benefits the Austin Parks Foundation, a nonprofit working to keep Austin's parks clean and beautiful.
Costumes are highly encouraged for this race, and this year's contestants did not disappoint. Among the runners were grapes, bats, monkeys, Ninja Turtles, adult babies and even The Ambiguously Gay Duo, Ace and Gary.
