Dart Music International honored icons of Austin music at the 2nd annual Austin Icon Awards Friday night at an equally iconic location—the old Austin City Limits Studio 6A on the University of Texas campus.

This years honorees: Jon Kunz, owner of Waterloo Records; Carolyn Schwarz, Executive Director of the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM); Troy Campbell, musician and founder of House of Songs and film director Richard Linklater.

Several hundred guests enjoyed a wide spectrum music, from the soft stylings of songstress Sahara Smith and the New Zealand rock of Jackie Bristow to the hard electro-beat of the U.K.'s Viva City and Austin's own Speak.

Sahara Smith (from Wimberley, TX.)
