Market ReVival Festival brings vintage finds and good times to Bee Cave
It's coming this weekend — for the third year, Market ReVival is bringing its semi-annual, three-day festival to Central Texas. Created by ReVival owners David and Tara Camp, Market ReVival will feature an eclectic mix of home-related products showcased on the 2.5 acre property encompassing the ReVival store itself.
The festival will offer an array of furniture, vintage décor, architectural pieces, local art, garden objects, food, music and more from various vendors both near and far.
The Camps’ approach to this experiential shopping event is to provide a nostalgic family-friendly destination where everyone is welcome and bound to find something they love. “Market ReVival is about supporting the local community, and putting an emphasis back on quality items that can stand the test of time,” says co-owner David Camp. As they do with store merchandise, the Camps carefully select every featured market vendor, ensuring an authentic, one-of-a-kind experience.
After 12 years and nine moves in the real estate development industry, David and Tara Camp, along with their three daughters, landed in Austin in 2008. Launched in November 2010, ReVival is a home goods-centric retail destination that pays homage to living with good design — both new and vintage. Born from the family’s addiction to vintage finds and living a simple and sustainable lifestyle.
A focal point of the market is ReVival’s new and vintage finds procured by the Camps on “picking trips” both locally and nationally. They recently returned with two semi-truckloads of handpicked objects from Ohio.
Market ReVival will also feature a variety of local vendors such as Tomato Happy Hour, High Country Bison: Ranch to Trailer, Deep Eddy Vodka tastings, artists from Austin Craft Riot, Austin Antlers, and ROADS micro-enterprise opportunities for those experiencing homelessness. In addition to food, beer, wine and a play area for children, modern country musician Jenna Paulette will perform on Saturday at 4 p.m.
DIY demos throughout the weekend include La Craie chalk painting demonstrations and opportunities to learn more about "ReVival University" workshops. Kids of all ages can get a photo with a hand-painted backdrop of Hamlet, ReVival’s resident potbelly pig. Of course, the real Hamlet will be roaming the premises, providing entertainment for the whole family. ReVival also offers art classes for adults and children, interior design classes and gardening classes.
