Aro, an online shopping destination for independent and emerging jewelry designers, opened its first brick-and-mortar store on South Lamar Boulevard on September 4. The shop not only continues to focus on local, up-and-coming, and indie fashion and jewelry designers, but expands its offerings to home, beauty, accessories, stationery, and a small curated selection of clothing from under-the-radar designers. Aro includes displays and designs by Matt Brown of Only Sun Wood Works, Trilby Nelson, Miranda Bennett, and branding by Avalon McKenzie. Cozy, fresh, and inviting, the shop’s thoughtfully eclectic design makes it a must-visit on its own.
Son of a Sailor
For handmade jewelry and accessories, add the Son of a Sailor studio to your list of must visits. Inspiration for the collection comes from the application of color, pattern, and geometry, and materials with a rich history and heritage. The bright pieces are unique, captivating, and make excellent gifts. They even have a wedding collection that’s perfect for bridesmaids and groomsmen. For fall entertaining, shop their home collection of dip-dyed coasters, a walnut wall clock, and the perfect cheese cutting board.

When it comes to truly waking up in style, there’s no place we’d rather do it than Sister Coffee.
