Celebrity Real Estate
Troy Aikman puts one of his impressive Texas mansions on the market
Was it really a year and a half ago that we told you about Troy Aikman’s Highland Park real estate moves from Highland to Normandy to St. Johns? Almost: It started in July 2013, when he bought the Tatum-Brown Custom Home at 3801 Normandy Ave. after selling his Highland Drive home and two lots. In October of last year, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback picked up the storied property at 4300 St. Johns Dr.
Well, Aikman’s Normandy home is now on the market for $5.3 million, listed with Allie Beth Allman. The three-story home has 10,662 square feet with five bedrooms, five full and four half baths, and an elevator. It sits on .33 acres.
There are also several living areas, wine room, game room, media room, study, morning room with fireplace, and covered outdoor living area with kitchen that looks out onto the pool and spa. The master suite has a private sitting area and massive his-and-hers walk-in closets.
Look a little different from when he bought it? The home originally had been priced at a high of $6,850,000, and it was listed with Joan Eleazer at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s. The price was lowered to $4.6 million, and Aikman paid $4,250,000. As for remodeling, they enlarged the closets and resurfaced just about everything.
I’m telling you: Troy Aikman handles real estate as deftly as he does pigskin! Time to find out what’s cooking over on St John’s.
