In one of the most audacious moves to modernity, the beloved Austin City Limits got an unbelievable makeover in 2010 when it moved from the historic studios at UT into the state of the art Moody Theatre in the base of the brand new W Hotel on Second Street. Some might call it blasphemous to relocate such an Austin-sacred institution. But there's no denying the sleek accommodations that now allow almost 3,000 patrons to enjoy their favorite musicians year-round with less waiting time and even better acoustics. Filming of PBS's Austin City Limits relocated here as well, continuing their legacy of archiving the great musical acts of our times.
Wednesdays throughout the summer, ACL offers Wine Down Wednesdays featuring live unplugged music and half-price specials on wine.
