Built in 1928 by former Texas cotton tycoon E.H. Perry, the Perry Estate provides Austin with an opulent mansion constructed in a Mediterranean villa style. Covering nearly ten acres, the exterior grounds and facades are matched by the spacious interiors with their detailed woodcarvings and tile work. Now home to the Sri Atmananda Memorial School, the home is still well preserved and open for excursionists curious about Austin's history as well as the beautiful architecture of the early 20th century.
