Black's Barbecue — Austin
After decades of waiting, Austin finally got its own Black's Barbecue in 2014. The legendary Lockhart restaurant cooks up the trademark wood-smoked meats and delivers them to the Austin outpost near the University of Texas campus. Despite the long trip, the everything from the perfectly greasy sausage to the shiny brisket and tender pork spare ribs packed a punch of flavor, moistness and melt-in-your-mouth quality.
