Alton Brown on Tour
Food-obsessed TV star Alton Brown puts Austin on menu for book tour

Calling all science-obsessed foodies. One of your heroes is coming to town. Television host and cookbook author Alton Brown will be visiting three Texas cities as part of the tour for his new book Alton Brown: EveryDayCook.
On October 4, Brown will appear at BookPeople in downtown Austin. The speaking portion of the event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required to join the signing line; they'll be available for purchase on September 27. Brown will stop in Houston on October 3 and Frisco (near Dallas) on October 5.
EveryDayCook features 101 recipes from Brown along with photos and insight on methods, tools, and ingredients. "This is the food I cook and eat on a day-to-day basis, from morning to late at night and everywhere in-between," Brown says.
The cookbook hits shelves September 27 but can be pre-ordered now.
The Food Network star, known for Good Eats, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Iron Chef America, previously visited Texas as part of his Edible Inedible tour, which stopped in Austin in early 2014.
