Have you ever been standing in the produce section, staring at a bunch of organic kale and thought, "I could really use a facial." We certainly have. And apparently Whole Foods Market has, too.

Whole Foods is teaming up with another Austin-based company to create a specialty supermarket spa. Milk + Honey, the luxe day spa with locations in downtown and Northwest Austin, will be opening inside a Boston-area Whole Foods in January.

In addition to groceries, Whole Foods customers can receive everything from manicures and waxings to facials and hot shaves. If the idea of waxing near your food make you cringe, don't worry — the spa is in a separate area.

"It's all about convenience," said Heather McCready, a Whole Foods spokeswoman told Metro Boston. "We want to provide the best customer convenience, and in this day and age people are busy."

This isn't the first time Whole Foods has toyed with the idea of branching out beyond the grocery biz. In 2013, Whole Foods' founder John Mackey said that the retail giant plans on launching a "health resort" in the Austin area by 2016.

In addition to spa services, Whole Foods customers in Boston (and throughout the Northeast) can purchase Milk + Honey products in the Whole Body section of the grocery store.
