With the support of more than 19,000 volunteers, Mobile Loaves & Fishes is the largest prepared feeding program to the homeless in Austin, and has spawned similar food truck programs in other cities across the country.

Complementing its truck ministry, Mobile Loaves & Fishes is also the visionary behind Austin's innovative Community First! Village — a 27-acre master-planned development that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for the disabled, chronically homeless in Central Texas.

Additionally, Mobile Loaves & Fishes' Community Works program provides micro-enterprise opportunities that enable formerly homeless men and women to earn a dignified income, develop new skills, and cultivate enduring relationships as they take part in a restorative journey home.

Volunteers are the backbone of Mobile Loaves & Fishes' food truck ministry. Not only do they prepare and deliver meals to men and women who are living on the streets, they also provide the homeless with the dignity that comes with handshake, a hug, or a friendly smile. People of varied interests and abilities can volunteer, whether you want to be hands-on serving food during truck runs, prepare meals behind the scenes, or provide other needed assistance.
