Superstars Britney Spears and Bruno Mars race into Austin for Formula 1 weekend
The Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix races back to Austin's Circuit of The Americas this October, and, as we've come to expect, the musical acts should be as much of a draw as the race itself. On April 25, COTA announced two pop icons — Bruno Mars and Britney Spears — as headliners for the 2018 event.
Mars, currently embarking on his 24K Magic world tour, will take the stage Saturday, October 20, following the qualifying race. Spears, whose Piece of Me world tour kicks off in July, will close out F1 weekend on Sunday, October 21, following the USGP race.
F1 weekend has become synonymous with high-profile entertainment, in addition to world-class racing. In 2017, the headliners were Justin Timberlake and Stevie Wonder. In 2016, Taylor Swift and Usher (subbing for The Weeknd) took the main stage.
Three-day race tickets start at $169 and go on sale Friday, April 27, at 10 am. Those tickets grant access to the headlining concerts, as well as other entertainment that will be announced soon, says a release. Britney Spears mega-fans can also purchase Sunday-only bleachers and Sunday-only premium stand tickets. Tickets are available here.
