From CNN to CW, Anderson goes daytime to "show his personality"
Anderson Cooper is stepping up to the plate to help usher in an era of daytime television post-Oprah with his very own talk show, Anderson.
Known for his in depth coverage of major disasters and hard hitting journalism, the reporter is using this opportunity to give viewers a chance to see a softer side of him. The show will feature lighthearted questions and topics such as: Why did Anderson suffer from a giggle fit live during his show on CNN last month? Why is Anderson so obsessed with Boston Market, and what exactly did Anderson do over the summer?
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Anderson is quoted as saying, “People see anchors on a news program as one dimensional. This show is a chance for me to show more of my personality.”
Viewers of Anderson 360 have gotten a chance to get a glimpse of Anderson’s quirky personality via segments like “The Ridiculist” as well as other YouTube blunders that he’s gained notoriety for. He’s also had some notable moments with Kathy Griffin hosting the New Year’s Eve special in Times Square. If these events are any indication of what’s to come, Anderson should provide viewers with plenty of laughs and perhaps even a few tears. To start the show off, Cooper has secured an interview with the family of late singer, Amy Winehouse to talk about her life and music.
In addition to learning more about Cooper, the show will also center on topical themes as well as personal stories. To give you a glimpse into what you can expect on Anderson, this week, Cooper will be exploring the debate between stay-at-home moms versus working mothers, he will interview two women who were abandoned as infants and have a special round table discussion with Kathy Griffin, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Daniel Radcliffe about their summer adventures.

Anderson premieres today at 4:00PM on KNVA.
