Anthropos Arts is celebrating 20 years of connecting low-income youth with professional musicians and cultivating confidence, integrity and life skills through musical education and mentorship. To celebrate, the organization is hosting its annual musical extravaganza, the Real World Music Showcase, featuring students alongside their mentors – some of the best and most noted musicians in Austin. Joining for an evening of music will also be Anthropos alumni from the last two decades who have moved on to become successful in the music industry. This year’s showcase will include tunes from across the globe, including selections from Cuba, Iran, Nigeria, Mexico, India and the U.S.
