Art on 5th will host "The Art of Dr. Seuss - A Retrospective Exhibition," celebrating not only the life & art of Theodor Seuss Geisel, but also chronicling the common artistic links found throughout Dr. Seuss's nearly 70 years of creativity. This exhibition explores the familiar as well as the relatively unknown aspects of Geisel's career, not only as a children's book illustrator, but also his work as an editorial cartoonist, advertisement illustrator, military propagandist, poet, painter, and sculptor.
At the opening reception, Robert Chase, Jr., founder of Chase Art Group, will be offering insights into Geisel's artistic life, his unique vision, and his impact on American culture. Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 2.
