Dougherty Arts Center presents Cara Jackson: "Iconic Texas" opening day

eventdetail

"Iconic Texas," Cara Jackson’s solo show, inspired by the landscapes, plants, and animals she’s encountered while hiking and camping in Texas’ public parks. Jackson draws upon her graphic design background to define abstracted forms, and explores color relationships with flat areas of vibrant acrylic paint. The resulting paintings are bright, fun, and almost cartoonish, evoking the lighthearted feeling of outdoor adventure.

Following the opening day, the exhibit will be on display until January 8, 2022.
