Sono Osato's work for the past 35 years has been inspired by the confluence of geological and anthropological history; the connection between terrain and symbolic thought. When Osato works, she doesn’t think within the brackets of her lifespan. It is more being inside a sense of time that is indifferent to her and that has a cadence she can only imagine and incant. The inherent pattern of how all the works in her output interconnect over time is a web, not a line, and "Silent Language #13" is a good point of entry for anyone who is unfamiliar with her work.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until April 11.
