Doxology is a series of large-scale conscious reflex drawings by British artist Rob Pepper. Each piece in this series is a redrawing of cathedral windows Pepper found in his native England. The windows’ depiction of the Christ narrative is reimagined through the technique of conscious reflex drawing, in which the artist makes no eye contact with the paper as he draws. Pepper then used gold leaf to emphasize details of significance or reference to traditional icons.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 16.
