Operation Get Out presents Paddle For Heroes, a paddling memorial to honor fallen first responders and military members with a Paddle Out floating memorial on the water at Auditorium Shores.
This is a community meet up activity, as OpGetOut partners with Carry The Load, a nonprofit campaign that takes place throughout May to raise awareness and provide active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices made by the military, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Paddleboarders, kayakers, friends, families and pets are invited to share water time, stories and memories, as they paddle to honor fallen heroes.
Paddlers are welcome to bring their own equipment, rent equipment, or join on the shores. Any form of tribute is welcome including, paddling in uniform, with flags, flowers, photos of heroes, or riderless boards in tow.
