UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum will celebrate the creative community of Austin’s present by connecting to the creative community of Austin’s past.
UMLAUF Curator Katie Edwards and special musical guest Daphne Tunes will be live from the museum and from Charles Umlauf’s art studio, a place usually inaccessible to the public. Viewers can gain insight into unseen (and unfinished) works by Umlauf with Katie, and see how the space as a whole takes on new life when activated by the intimate, rich sound of Daphne Tunes.
During the livestream UMLAUF will be highlighting the different ways they museum relies on community support, and ask for viewers help in sustaining the museum during their closure from COVID-19, as well as the museum’s financial setback from a recent vandalization.
The livestream will be available on Facebook and Instagram Live from 6-7 pm.
