The details: On Saturday, April 2, Austinites raised a record $600,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas at the annual Bandana Ball. Guests, decked out in their Texas finest, enjoyed a cocktail hour featuring a cigar lounge, a boot-shining station, and a photo booth complete with Texas longhorns and University of Texas cheerleaders. A delicious dinner transitioned into a high-stakes live auction, followed by performances from Charlie Murphy Band and the Spazmatics.
"We are so grateful to our guests [that] support our families who have children healing in the hospital," said Carolyn Schwarz, CEO of RMHC CTX, in a release. "Their generosity will help us keep our families close to their children during a difficult time. And long after the event is over, the impact of their kindness will continue to reach our families throughout the year."
