Oscar winner Adrien Brody's new documentary Stone Barn Castle had its world premiere at SXSW on Saturday. CultureMap was on hand to chat with the producer/director on the red carpet ahead of the anticipated screening.
Brody tells us that premiering the film in Austin "just felt right." "In general, South by is very supportive to documentary films and filmmakers," he says. "I have a friendship with Robert Rodriguez [and] Kevin [Ford] is pretty much an Austin native."
Given Ford's connections to the Austin film community, many of the finishing touches of Stone Barn Castle were done locally. The film screens again at SXSW on Wednesday, March 18 and Saturday, March 21. Watch more of the exclusive interview above.
