Legends on tour
No Rumours here: Lindsey Buckingham to play intimate show at Antone's
Earlier this summer, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of one of rock n' roll's most iconic albums: Rumours.
On the heels of this milestone, Fleetwood Mac front man Lindsey Buckingham is celebrating his own legacy with a cross-country tour that just got a second wind. Announced last week, the tour — An Intimate Night with Lindsey Buckingham — has been extended by six weeks, and Austin is lucky enough to be added to the list.
Buckingham won't take stage at the Erwin Center or any other large-scale chameleon venue. He'll settle into Austin's home of the blues, Antone's, for an intimate night of guitar picking and tunes.
The tour is definitely a monumental addition to any music lover's ticket stub collection. Because on Wednesday, August 22, Buckingham won't take stage at the Erwin Center or any other large-scale chameleon venue. He'll settle into Austin's home of the blues, Antone's, for an intimate night of guitar picking and tunes.
Not surprisingly, Buckingham's Austin gig is selling fast, but there are still some tickets available. For around $50.00, you can buy a golden ticket for a night that "Dreams" are made of: a night with a legend in one of Austin's legendary music homes.
The tour promises to run the gamut of Buckingham's decades-long career, from his latest solo album, Seeds We Sow, all the way back to the Fleetwood Mac anthems that made them music gods. One can hope for a reprise of "Rhiannon" and "You Make Loving Fun."
So while you scurry to secure tickets to this one-night-only affair, we'll leave you with a favorite from Rumours. Because who doesn't love mid-week throwback to pure, unadulterated '70s rock?
