Eclosion - the act of an adult insect emerging from its pupal case – symbolizes Art.Science.Gallery.’s transformation from a pop-up gallery to a brick-and-mortar venue. Following their successful "Join Our Evolution" crowdfunding campaign in spring 2013, they are on track to open this fall with "Eclosion" as their opening exhibition. Artworks will address the role of insects in the natural and changing world, including aesthetic, cultural, economic, educational and scientific aspects of entomology – the study of insects. Through this artwork, they hope to increase public understanding of insects, entomology, biodiversity and the importance of science and conservation.

The exhibit will be on view until December 1.
