The 2020 Austin Jewish Film Festival will be mostly a virtual events, with drive-in movies for both opening and closing night. The virtual side will feature four times more programming than they’ve ever had before, and drive-in events, taking place at Dell Jewish Community Center, will include food, live preshow music and other entertainment, world-class films, and live Q&As with the filmmakers.

Opening night will be The Crossing, a recent winner of the Amanda (Norway’s Oscar) for best family-friendly film, the story of the adventurous 10-year-old Gerda and her brother Otto, whose parents are in the Norwegian resistance movement during the Second World War. Closing night will be the documentary Dulcie, about one of Israel’s greatest athletes who captures the spirit of a nation while triumphing against the odds.

$8-$20 per virtual film; $120-$200 for full virtual festival pass. $50 per vehicle for drive-in events for two passengers; $20 per extra passenger.
