The Long Center, ZACH Theatre, and the University of Texas at Austin Department of Fine Arts present the 3rd Annual Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards. 29 high schools and over 2000 participating students will gather for an evening of live musical performances, awards and scholarships, special guests, and more.

Awards are given in 15 categories: Best Musical Production, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Featured Performer, Best Musical Direction, Best Choreography, Best Orchestra, Best Direction, Best Stage Crew, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Ensemble.

In addition to beautiful glass trophies for top prizes in the competition, teachers choose two seniors as applicants for college scholarships. In addition to the educational scholarships, several scholarships are made available by ZACH theatre, UT College of Fine Arts, and other professional training programs.
